Hot Chocolate Mix

This is a fabulous recipe graciously given to my by a fellow teacher. My children and I love to mix up this recipe and give it as gifts at christmas. We also like to keep a little for ourselves. If you like your hot chocolate to have a lot of chocolate flavor double the amount of hot cocoa in the recipe.

Hot Chocolate Mix

1 lb. Hot Chocolate Mix (I like the Great Value brand-purple lid)
1 lb. Powdered Sugar
1 6oz. jar powdered Creamer
1 8qt. box Powdered Milk

Mix thoroughly (I like to put mine through a sifter). Use 1/3 to 1/2 C of mix in a cup and fill with hot water, milk, or coffee.

I like to mix this and give it as a small gift at Christmas. It looks nice in a baggie with marshmallows attached to a coffee cup or in a canning jar with Christmas fabric and ribbon decorating the top.

  1. I made something like this a couple of years ago and put it in quart sized canning jars and gave it to our neighbors...it was a HUGE hit! One slight difference that everyone loved was it had chocolate chips in it! That could be an option to make this one more chocolaty. I do look forward to some snow and making hot cocoa for the kids when they come inside! Yummy! :)
